Shelter in the Storm (friendly version)This is a composition I submitted in Greg Howlett's Arrangement Contest on September 30th of this year. My arrangement was taken from an old hymn by Ira David Sankey in 1885 originally called The Lord's Our Rock in Him We Hide. The photo was taken last winter on a cross country skiing trip with a friend. The tree was a huge pine which could have provided shelter in a storm.

ON THE ROAD TO WITCHES ROCK Colleen and I took several bike trips this summer- a few to a rock formation called Witches Rock near Henefer Utah. I wrote this music to describe an early morning bike ride. The photo was on the road back from Witches Rock. We pulled off the main road onto the rail trail.

The Poor potterI have been influenced by the composer Doug Hammer. His piano piece, The Castle, mesmerized me and his imagination took me back to a castle many years ago. I wanted to escape again to antiquity so I wrote this mysterious piece and took as my inspiration the potter at his wheel.
